Douglas Hillman

Mayor Douglas Hillman was elected to the office of Mayor-Commissioner in March of 2020. Additionally, in 2022/2023 election cycle, Mayor Hillman ran unopposed are deemed to have elected himself in March 2023.  Mayor Hillman would have begun serving a three-year term but passed away on March 15, 2023.

Mr. Hillman's professional career has included the management of some of the America's best known men's, women's and children's apparel, accessory and footwear brands, including London Fog, Levi's, Dockers, Burlington Hosiery, Keds, Pro-Keds and Sperry Topsiders.

Mr. Hillman was one of three senior executives to successfully acquire the London Fog Corporation. As President he enjoyed the responsibility of managing and growing this business fourfold to a highly profitable, semi-public company with an international retail presence of over $1 Billion and 4,500 employees. Extensive management background coupled with his unique experiences and accomplishments enables him to provide assistance to a multitude of enterprises seeking growth and success in the global marketplace. In addition to the above, Mr. Hillman also served as a business advisor to the Governor of Maryland and consultant to the Baltimore Police Department.

As a Professor at both Johns Hopkins University and American University, Mr. Hillman taught advanced marketing courses at the graduate degree level and served as an advisor for curriculum development in addition to facilitating area business involvement. He also served as a Board member for Management Search and Selection at Johns Hopkins University.

Mr. Hillman has served on several non-profit and Corporate Boards and is currently President of both Dalton Place Condominium and Boca Highland Beach Club and Marina.
